Time for a new look?

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

About 2 weeks ago my friend Miles informed me that you can’t leave comments on my blog; that might explain why I have none. But most likely it’s because no one has anything to comment. Nevertheless, I need to fix it. So, do I just fix it? Or…

Do I go for a whole new design. Don’t get me wrong, I really like the current design of unculturedswine. But, isn’t it time for something new? I’ve been riding this one for a few months now and maybe it’s time for a change. I’d ask for your input on this, but seeing as my comments aren’t working that’s just not gonna happen!

On a different note, I’ve been working from home lately on my new big desk and I LOVE it. It’s a nice cherry desk 2 piece L that is so big! I’ve never had such a big workspace and I love it. There’s even drawers, another first for me! Well, I guess my desk at Nu Skin was about as big, but it was a cubicle and that only half counts. But I must saying working from home is pretty nice, especially on the gas savings.

I’ve had a pretty busy August thus far, 4 weddings, a trip to Indianapolis for 4 days and then this week I’m heading off to Vegas. After that I think I’ll be home for a little bit, at least a few weekends. Miles, Beth and I are talking about taking a day trip out to the Salt Flats and a short stop in Wendover on a Saturday upcoming so that could be a little adventure, break out of the norm.

But, all is well here I think. Life is good, busy but good!

The New Mummy: I’m that bored

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

I’m in the theater, right now, watching the new mummy. Yeah. I’m that bored. Story is pretty lame, new character development sucks, the ‘love story’ is terrible… what a waste. The first Mummy was great, second was good, this one isn’t worth the (2) dollar theater. Skip it!

Hello from Indianapolis

DCI LogoAbout a week ago or so my old NuSkin friend Cameron called me up and asked me if I wanted to go to the DCI World Championships in Indiana. The show tickets were bought, he had a voucher for a plane ticket so it was basically half paid for; how could I say no? So I didn’t, and here I am! It’s been a crazy fun trip so far though, totally lovin’ it. United is a crappy airline to say the least.

We left Wednesday afternoon on a 4:30 flight to Denver, and 26 hours later finally made it to Indiana. So, the traveling part sucked, but after that the trip got awesome! We reserved an Economy car from Alamo, paying a solid $25/day for the cheap car… only it wasn’t cheap. The desk guy pointed at a Toyota and said that it was an economy, and to take it. If a 2008 loaded Toyota Avalon with leather and and the bells and whistles is economy, then I want to know what a Luxury car is. Woot!

Thursday afternoon was the Quarterfinals and it was AWESOME! We saw just about every corps in Open Class and it just got better as the night went on. Loved it! Friday we just played around Indianapolis as good as we could, it’s a pretty clean city, but we didn’t really have much to do. Tonight is the Finals and I’m stoked about it, hopefully Phantom can pull off an upset and un-crown the Blue Devils. What amazes me most about this stuff is it’s just kids, all under 21 but they have incredible discipline and talent. Really fun to watch! I’m having a great time!
