My Solution to Global Warming

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Alright, I’ve let it out that I’m not a remote believer in Global Warming. I am perfectly okay with lessening emissions, and being less pollutive, but the whole Global Warming is just a passing fad if you ask me. However, I had an epiphany the other day while driving, and I think it’ll lessen our automobile carbon emissions by 50%.

Make it a LOT more difficult to obtain, and keep, a drivers license.

There are a LOT of stupid, oblivious drivers out there. If we revoked their license because of their stupidity and put them on public transportation, buses would run full, less traffic and subsequent traffic jams would occur, demand for gas would go down thus lowering the price, and, for the environmentalists out there, our ‘Carbon Footprint’ wouldn’t be nearly as much.

Can I have a Nobel Peace Prize now? After all, if Al Gore gets one for making a movie and organizing a worldwide concert that used countless amounts of energy and created countless amounts of pollutants to make us all aware of how sloppy we are, surely this real world idea of mine deserves an award too. I think I’ll go ahead and apply, and include my application fee. Is that how it works? Do I have to become a liberal too?

Back Home and Back at it

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

Well, I’m back home. Hawaii was marvelous. I saw some incredibly beautiful scenery, enjoyed perfect weather, stayed entertained, and just got a great break from the daily grind of life. But, now I’m back at it (life) and I suppose I have a renewed sense of get’r'done. I sure hope I do! I still have some website projects to finish up for some trades that I’ve done, and plenty of engagement photo shoots lined up. Five or six this week alone! It’s crazy. My favorite part about all this is the free marketing I’m getting; I’m not spending any money to promote myself. I spend just a few hours a month tweaking my pages and let the search engines do the rest. Booyah!

Back at it. Is that what I said? I suppose it’s true. I’ll be sure to let you know what exactly I accomplish on this back at it tour Spring 2008. There are some events coming up for me to deal with, some happy some sad, I think I’ll survive okay though. I hope so. Hope. Something I have been pretty shy on lately. That’s probably the biggest thing I’m going to focus on right now – having some hope restored to my tired, weary soul.

Warren and Annabelle’s

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Last night the family except them under 21 (Sorry Sicily and Rachel) went to see some FANTASTIC magic at a little theater in Lahaina. Warren and Annabelle’s is just off Front Street and cost $58 a ticket, but it was definitely worth it. His stage is small as he only does close-up, sleight of hand magic tricks. And he’s also absolutely hilarious. What a terrific show!!

I can do some simple better-than-average card tricks from time to time, but Warren is just amazing. No big stage props, just cards and borrowed items. The old rabbit from a hat trick? Try two bowling balls from a hat! One was impressive, then after putting the hat on someone’s head, and not handling it in any misdirection manner, he drops a second full size and weight bowling ball from the hat. The list goes on!

Bottom line: If you’re in Maui, this show is a must see! Be sure to book it before you come though or you might miss out.
