Passing the Blame

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

Global Warming. It’s all the rage anymore. From the hypocrite Al Gore to the desperate, and now threatened automakers, global warming is a buzz word you can hardly go a day without hearing. And I think it’s all crap. Absolute crap. I think of the 50′s and 60′s when lives were ruined by the Communist Shakedown that took place, with hearings going all the way to Congress. We look back now and just shake our heads at how quickly everyone jumped on the bandwagon, and in the end, how pointless a hype-up it was.

No matter what you search for, you will find it in your own obscured vision and definition of ‘the truth’. Those who chase conspiracy theories can find every bit of ‘evidence’ to support their ideas; it just depends on the angle you look at it. Thankfully, there is a ruler available to which we can discover all truth. But that’s a topic for another day.

I wanna make a quip about passing the blame, not seeing the sun when you stare right at it. The scriptures prophecy of so many events that are going to happen in the final scenes of the earth, and they’re occurring left and right and all over. Natural Disasters, degrading morality, the embracing of evil practices, and sadly this election year, it seems the choosing of corrupt leaders by the voice of the people. It almost seems to be happening so fast, yet it’s been a gradual decline that just picks up momentum.

We have natural disasters happening in all corners of the globe. Hurricanes, Tsunami’s, Floods, Tornado’s… you name it, it’s happening. And what gets shoved in your face as the cause? Global Warming. Hmmm… I propose it’s more like sin and wickedness.

And many more things did the people imagine up in their hearts, which were foolish and vain; and they were much disturbed, for Satan did stir them up to do iniquity continually; yea, he did go about spreading rumors and contentions upon all the face of the land, that he might harden the hearts of the people against that which was good and against that which should come.

And notwithstanding the signs and the wonders which were wrought among the people of the Lord, and the many miracles which they did, Satan did get great hold upon the hearts of the people upon all the face of the land.

I’m all for protecting the environment, and improving how much waste and what not we do… but not to the extreme that it’s being forced upon us, by government mandate. The cause of the disasters is so quickly thrown at the excuse of global warming, or, as stated above, things which some imagine up in their hearts, which were foolish and vain. We need to worry more about cleaning up society than cleaning up the air. But society is completely complacent in their current state of unrighteous apathy to know the sun when they look right at it.

I just can’t find it

It’s early 1998. I see a preview for Saving Private Ryan. Something about the music they used during it just made me want the soundtrack. I think I bought the soundtrack before I even saw the movie. I bought it from Circuit City the morning it was released. I was quite the soundtrack junkie back then, and if it’s John Williams you know it’s going to be good. The main piece on the album, Hymn to the Fallen, is one of my favorite songs. However, the song on the preview is not on the album. This isn’t too uncommon, usually the scores for the movies are one of the last things done, so trailer-makers will borrow themes from other movies.

Last night I got to thinking that the preview for Saving Private Ryan must be on YouTube, and it certainly was, and I finally, after 10 years heard the song that I heard maybe once or twice but fell in love with it. I looked online and found out it’s from the soundtrack to the movie ‘The American President’, by Marc Shaiman. However… I can’t find it anywhere! The album is on Amazon, but I’m just looking for a download of the song. And I can’t find it anywhere. I’m kinda bummed.

Welcome to Swine V5.0

Well, swineIV didn’t last very long, I really only liked the photoblog template, everything else just… didn’t look good to me. So first the first time in unculturedswine history, I designed, built, and implemented site-wide a new design in one day. I’m so proud of myself! I probably wouldn’t have done it if I wasn’t over here working with Miles to redo his website. He’s getting pretty close, but it’s quite a lesson for him. It was for me! It took me several months to figure out how both my pixelpost and wordpress themes worked together in harmony.

It’s snowing today, kind of. At least it was when I was supposed to take some engagement pictures at 3. They got bumped to Monday. Fun fun fun!
