I’m just a little freaked out right now…

google_maps.pngOkay, I think I’m a little late on this discovery, but I saw a new feature on Google Maps today that just freaked me out, literally. I didn’t feel violated by any means, but just… freaked out! So, Google, with it’s infinite fortune, outfitted hundreds of new Chevy Cobalt (which, no doubt, I’m sure the car company padded its’ figures with) with a 360 degree camera and drove on every road taking pictures of everything. Literally.

Go to Google Maps and type in your address. In the little info window that hovers over the map, click the pictures. Tada!! You’re looking at a street level view of YOUR house. Taken by a little man, in a little car, the Google Photo Gnome. You can literally see the street view of just about EVERY street in America by now I’m sure. Part of me feels just a little bit freaked out by this. It’s cool, and it’s not creepy, but it’s just holy crap technology.
