All Done….

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

I finally finished The Power of One, the book that I bought in Houston. Priscilla bought a book at the same time there… and she’s read that one plus 2 others. Okay, I’m slow! But that does NOT in any way make the Power of One a boring book. Quite the opposite, it’s a terrific book to read, I LOVED it. It ended really suddenly though, but I discovered it has a sequal of sorts called Tandia, I will have to pick that up for sure.

Today was a good day, kind of. I was not very comfortable most of the day, feeling a little broken almost, but I made it over to the Temple tonight and that, as always, is such good medicine. I am completely renewed and ready to go at it again. I was talking to my friend Amanda tonight and she’s made a few changes in her life and is feeling like a million bucks again and that just makes me happy.

So, what’s the moral of the day? Service can make you feel better… especially Temple Service. Git ‘er done!

Good Things Ahead

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Happy Monday. Good things are on the horizon, as if I haven’t already had enough of them happen to me recently. I taught Elders Quorum yesterday and it was a good lesson, there was a lot of participation and that is always nice. I got to spend a moment emphasizing and discussing what I like to call the Doctrine of You, try to see if we all can’t realize to a greater degree exactly who we are; which is something that the adversary tries very heavily to get you to forget. I’m going to write up a nice post entry on that soon enough, it’ll take a little bit and won’t be a one time sitting deal, but I think it’s time for me to research it more than the thoughts and impressions I have.

I spoke with Danny Beck last night, talked to him more about his website that I’m building for him. He’s got some GREAT opportunities in his future, really great ones. We need to wrap his site up quick, we actually got an email this morning from someone who was anxious to see it completed and wanted to know a timeline. No coincidences here, it’s time to make this happen. I’m excited and feel blessed to be a part of this for him. Very excited.

Okay, I need to get back to work, I just felt like adding something here today.

Reminiscence

Thursday, September 20th, 2007

Well, I was perusing thru my pictures from Japan tonight, and just remembering how great of a trip that was for me. And, I just found my old blog postings from the trip and had a great time reading over those posts. Man, it was almost a year ago. Crazy! But such warm memories. I am so blessed. I want to go back to Japan so soon, it is such a special place to me.

The past few days have been up and down, yesterday was a pretty miserable day by the end for me, but it was all brought on to me by my own thinking and what not. This morning I woke up and had the same miserable attitude, but I stayed home a little longer and while backing up my Powerbook Hard Drive I did some Reading and what not and got myself in the right attitude. I finally made it to work at about 11:15. Priscilla made a request for Bagels, so I had to oblige.

We had a great time at work, took a lil laydown on the lawn after Lunch and just enjoyed the weather. It was very nice outside. Today was payday too, which is always nice. Today was a great day at work, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow! I love my job.

Saturday should be extra fun, I’m going with Kurt to the BYU/Air Force game, it’ll be a good game, hopefully a close one too. And hopefully BYU will avoid the penalty traps and pull this one out. They have awesome potential this year. Even though they’re 1-2 I expect a great winning season. We’re going to use my dads rockin’ season tickets, so the seats are excellent, and the treatment is nice! Lots of perks, lots of food. NICE!

Well… that’s my update. It’s time for bed. Night!
