A few days in
Well, I’m a few days into using the iPad and I must say that I like it. A lot. Yes, it has it’s shortcomings and it’s not the be all end all, but for what it does, it’s fantastic. Sitting with friends and browsing the net, passing it on over to show them what you found is so easy. Checking out and sharing a YouTube video is simple, and the speakers are plenty loud so you don’t have to cringe to hear. Bottom line, it’s FUN, it’s SIMPLE, and it’s EASY.
As an extra plus the video apps are great, I love being able to stream my Netflix instant queue to it and watch that anywhere; on the couch, in the bed, in the car… Anywhere! The ABC app is great, really great and very well executed. I’m still trying out apps so I’ll try to keep you posted.
The battery life is phenomenal. 10-12 hours out of it, heavy usage. Nothing performs like that. Nothing.
For what i wanted, it fits the bill wonderfully. Is it worth waiting and seeing what comes out next year? Maybe. But you’ll be missing out the whole time.
