End of Summer

Posted on by joel

Wow, August is coming to a close. I turned 30 this month and I didn’t even take the time to write up anything, I’m a total slacker! I guess I don’t have anything newsworthy to talk about. I’ve had several weddings this summer and just had my last one on Friday, it actually feels kinda nice to have them all wrapped up. Now I can sit down, go over a few thousand pics, pick my favorite and finish up my photography site redesign for next ‘season’. It’s been a good year.

This last week I also jumped on the AppleTV train. Well, it’s not much of a train, but I decided to buy one. It’ll be here on Tuesday. I’m kinda excited, I think it will be a handy device. And uhh, yeah. That’s all I’m gonna say about that.

Work is going good, keeping me very busy but in a nice, satisfactory way. I really enjoy it there. Almost feel like I’m caught up on things there that I can organize a lot better. I’ve basically become the managing developer, overseeing a few other developers and delegating assignments. It’s been fun, and a good learning experience. We’ve got a great team put together and we’re all excited to see where we can take the company. Dan, the owner, is ready to take it to a new level and I think we can do it. It’s fun. I like it. Oh, and it’s now entirely Mac, except for the programmers in the Linux room. Weirdo’s.

I’m trying to put together a group of friends to go on a Cruise this December, got a few maybes and maybe one couple that I think is pretty sure to go, I’m so excited. I hope I can pull it off! I had so much fun on the cruise, and would love to go someplace tropical again and do some more SCUBA diving. That too is a lot of fun. It’s nice having a job with consistent paydays, makes for some good income to have some fun with. Wedding photography has helped out quite a bit too.

Well, there’s my update. Sorry I’m pretty boring!

    Joel,
Happy Birthday! I am glad so read that things though “boring” are still good.
