200×5=?

Posted on by joel

So. I’m at work and the girl at the stand next to me complains about a migraine, and then says that Tylenol, Excedrin, Advil etc don’t work for her – she needs prescription Ibuprofin 1000mg.

Well, guess what I have in my work apron? Ibuprofin! However, over the counter max is 200mg tablets. I do quick math and ask her if she wants to take 5 of my pills. That’s (tada!) 1000mg. She declined. I tried explaning that 5 of mine equals 1 of the prescription one. She disagreed, saying the prescription was “stronger ibuprofin”.

Yeah. They’re out there. And reproducing.

No really, I had these 800mg’ers that my wife got after having our last baby and MAN those things rock! It’s like taking 4 of the regular ones. Except it’s not 4, it’s just one pill. Talk about strong. I wish they would make the 200mg pills as strong as the 800mg ones. ;)
