Not much to say…
Well, I haven’t posted in a while, but I really wanted to push my last political burp down off the top so I guess I’ll give you an update on what’s going on. I’ve applied for a handful of jobs lately, mostly looking for something 20-30 hours a week that isn’t web or photography related. Working from home has a tendency to make it seem like all you do is work when you’re at home so I need a change of pace. Also, it would be nice to get back into a bi-weekly payday setup; it’s been awhile. So far I’ve managed to score one interview with the new Smith’s that is going in about 2 miles from here. I applied for the Photo Center or to be a Cashier, we’ll see what happens. The interview is next week, the store opens on November 11. I know, I’m aiming high.
My main reason though is I’d like to spend more time focusing on me; focusing on my photography business and getting more customers so instead of spending many hours a day doing web work for other people and then being too burned out to do it for me, I’d rather do something totally different so come computer time I’m totally excited to work for me. I’m starting to learn a new style of post-processing (photoshopping) that I’d like to apply more in my photography; something I think will set me apart a little bit more and also allow me to raise my prices due to the increased time for editing. You can see where I’m going here and here. Now I just need to gather a large collection of textures to work with.
The election is over in less than 2 weeks; hallelujah! I’m so tired of hearing about it and getting frustrated over it and seeing this country divide more and more every day. I’m also tired of the media and their horrid spin on everything; having the country decide will at least put them in check one way or the other. Enough with the doom and gloom!
Anything else? I think that’s about it. Oh, I also applied to do Freelance for Heritage… I know I know, I was pretty happy to leave there but having some design work to do very part time sounds kind of nice to keep my skills honed up somewhat. We’ll see how that goes.

Hey man, I hear you on the election thing. I am sick of it all. Just get the damn (sorry) thing over with and lets move on. Regardless of who wins we’re in for some sh#$%y time. The biggest thing I can’t stand right now is how everyone is saying “Its over already” or “McCain still has a chance” or “He just could still win Pennsylvania” or “If he loses Ohio he’s done for”… C’mon, history and BYU football have proven that you can’t predict anything based on preseason rumor and strategy. Its still the pre-game show here. We aren’t going to know or even have a real good idea of what’s going to happen until about 6:00 PM on November 4th. Then we can make some pretty good guesses. Anyway, I’m the people I hate right now… I’ve got to give it a rest and move on.
Hey, I was thinking of doing freelance for Heritage also….hmmmm
I don’t know if it’s worth it.
