New Chin
Well, I’m not gonna be shy about it. I’ve told lots of people about it so might as well blog it. I got a new chin. Well, a bigger chin. Wednesday afternoon I visited Utah Surgical Arts and went under the knife, or some tool like that. My sister talked me into a chin implant procedure. Basically, the end of my chin gets cut off, a plate gets screwed in at the base of my lower teeth, and my chin bone gets replaced at the opposite end of the plate 10mm further than where it was originally located. Since birth. It’s Sunday night and I’m still feeling this. The swelling should be going down which is nice, but it’s the constant numbness that I feel in my chin that gets old after a few days. And by I few I mean… 4 now? Most of the feeling in my lower lip is back, but the bulk of my chin remains without feeling. It will come back.
In other news that is the news. I’ve been sleeping a lot. Pain medication has a tendency to make you sleepy. I’ve been eating the same thing for days now although I think I’m comfortable enough to expand out to newer foods. But it still has to be soft.
Sometimes this hurts pretty bad. But, I’ll survive. Here’s the whole story
